This machine is for re-coiling cable/rope from small drums into a coil without a drum.
 
The coils are produced by winding onto a coiling head with a removable side (afetr the coil produced has been secured with ties). After the new coil is secured the removable side comes off and the coil can be pulled of the coiling head leaving a neat coil.
 
Powered from a standard 13A UK socket, controls include:
Speed control,
Forward/reverse switch,
Emergency stop button,
ON/OFF switch,
Power ON lamp.
 
Fitted with a standard MM25 measuring machine, which has a reset to zero blever.
 
Fitted with four castor wheels for easy postioning, two of which are lockable castor wheels.
 
The 'lazy susan' turntable is fitted with cones so a variety of different size cable drums can be unwound. The pay-off drum is held in place via a quick-locking collar to allow for fast loading.

The cable is passed through the measuring head and attached to the coiling head and when the desired length has been wound, the coil can be cable-tied up into a neat coil.
